Encision
The founders of Encision recognized that traditional monopolar laparoscopic instruments have an inherent design flaw; they are prone to insulation failure and capacitive coupling, causing patient burns. To address the issue they created Active Electrode Monitoring (AEM®) technology, which eliminates the chance of stray energy burns to patients by electrically shielding the laparoscopic surgical instrument shaft.
Encision’s AEM® burn protection system eliminates the chance of stray energy burns to patients during laparoscopy, by electrically shielding and monitoring the AEM instrument inside the patient’s body
The new AEM EndoShield is the hub of the AEM Burn Protection System:
- Eliminates stray energy burns from capacitive coupling and insulation failure
- Intuitive, plug and play design minimizes staff training
- Utilizes advanced AEM monopolar energy to provide surgeons a safe energy choice for higher power settings
- A convenient add-on that is compatible with widely used electrosurgical generators, in all modes
- Works with state-of-the-art AEM instruments. No change to surgeon or staff technique and requires only one additional connection (compared to non-AEM instruments)
